Today we carved the Halloween pumpkin. The jack-o-lantern. We started this tradition two years ago. We were living out at Mama Pearl’s at the time. That was a great fall living out there. Davey had not been walking more than a month here.
Then last year we were in Arkadelphia.
Davey had his gloves on ready to go.
Intently watching Daddy.
Pumpkin Gut scooping.
And here we were this year. Our first year in Colorado.
Davey watching Daddy once again.
Pumpkin gut scooping again!
I failed miserably on the photos. It was really shady, but I tried to get this shot of Davey acting slightly frightened of the jack-o-lantern.
He’s all done!
Davey said, “Let’s light him up!” We still need to do that.
And I finally have to show some progress on my latest sock. I am not sure what I think about it. I think it’s pretty, but I am not crazy about the heel. It’s a kind of flappy short row without the wrap and turn? Now there’s some knitting lingo that makes no sense. I am not sure. Cotton may not have been the best idea, but I love cotton socks. We shall see.
