David had to go to school today, and he will all week. Classes start on Wednesday. He’s going to be really busy. Davey and I went to town this morning – post office, drugstore, grocery store. Now he is napping. He’s taking a good nap this afternoon. He has been very shrill today. He is working on his high range of his voice.
I did a layout of him today that I like:
Oh I love this picture of Davey and Addie. However, David says Adilyn looks like someone told her to do that for the photo. I guess that someone would be me. But she had just done it spontaneously moments ago, and I couldn't get my camera up in time. But I still like it.
Davey loved giving her sugar. It was fun for him to hang out with one of his cousins this weekend. He's lucky to have 3 great cousins.
So Johnny and Sara were here for the weekend (with Adilyn). We had a nice time. They played Cornhole over at Janis and Jerry's. We went to the Narrows and hung out, and Johnny helped David get a bunch of stuff out of storage. We had a nice time. Addie spent a lot of time with the dogs. She loved hanging out on the porch with them, and I know they loved her attention. Once I went out and she had put hydrangea leaves in all their bowls. I don't know if they would be poisonous or not; they were not interested in eating them. David said she fixed them salad.
Another time I went out there and all leashes were placed by the appropriate dog. Blue by Timber, Purple by Koko, and Red by Daisy Lou Who. (as Addie and I like to call her.) Pretty sweet!
It's Sunday afternoon, and it is raining! It is has been raining all day, and it is cool outside! We love it. There was a huge storm last night with huge thunder and lightning.
Davey's knees were getting all red from his whirling dervish crawling. So we got him some pants. Pants were not easy to find in his size. None at Walmart, none at Dillards, finally Penny's had some.
They are a little long, so we roll them up abit. He is also always pulling himself up. I guess he won't be on those knees for long.
Did a layout about Walker, Texas Ranger today. Sure do miss that nice dog. I used the photo for a challenge where you were supposed to use a bunch of different patterned paper. I used lots of scraps. The tree is to remember how Walker loved to lay under the tree at the edge of the yard. I just happened to have some scraps which were kind of mountain shaped – perfect for the Ouachita Mountains!
Did a layout this morning of my sweet 3 year old niece Adilyn. I love this photo that David took. I did the photo for a challenge blog and the topic is Sunshine. I thought this photo could not be more perfect for it!
I did a layout the other day that I kind of like. Well I like the journaling that I included, and I like the photo. The layout is not quite what I had in my mind, but then I guess it never is.
We had a fun birthday day at Mom’s. We went over early and got ready for the party and stayed until 8 or so after we had a cookout. We invited some of Mom’s co-worker friends from the library to surprise her. She was surprised – I think anyway! Lutsia, Charles and Paige came over a little later too. Mikayla, Jadyn and Davey had a nice time playing; Davey got to spend some nice time with his Potter family!
While we were outside, Timber liked to peek his snout through the railing to say hello. They hung out on the covered deck (He, Koko and Daisy) and they had a good time. Addie would often say, “I want to go see the dawwwggs!” So we’d take her out. She loves to go pet and talk to them.
While we were in Oklahoma this past weekend, Mikayla and Jadyn came over and Sara took them around on Patches. Adilyn demonstrated first. Sara put her on bareback and if you look carefully, you can see the little piece of mane that Adilyn is carefully clutching. She sat up very straight and Sara led her around. Jadyn went next. She LOVES horses and she loved riding. Mikayla went after Jadyn. She had not really been on a big horse before and she did great!
