Goodbye Tennessee

We have been in Arkansas for I guess almost two weeks now.  We love the house in the country where we are living until our house sells.  It's beautiful here.  Very peaceful.

Davey is doing well here too – he is as happy as ever:

He is sitting up well in the bath now and he has a good old time.

His Pa is visiting us tonight and then his Oma and Opa will be here later in the week.  He loves to have company!  He's lucky to have so many people to love him.

Day after Mother’s Day

We had a great Mother’s Day.  I got so many nice messages.  David’s parents both called, I talked to Mom, Angie texted me! (I am such a texting noob), Michael left me a voicemail, Michele emailed!  We hung out here.  David got me a really pretty citrine drop.  Davey liked it and he liked eating the card even more!

We had to leave for a couple of hours while they showed the house, so we had lunch at Backyard Burger.  Then last night we watched the Survivor Finale.  It’s gotten to the point that we pretty much just watch the Finales.  Can’t seem to quite give the show up.

Davey has abit of a cold.  He seems to be better today already.  Night before last he was up about every three hours, but he slept the whole night last night.

Today we are hanging out.  David just gave Davey a bottle and now they are being silly on the futon.  They do something called face wrestling.  I am not sure what it is, but I need to do a scrapbook page about it. Here are a couple of pictures including one of this so called "face wrestling".  I think this was a break from the action.

So Silly

Saturday we celebrated Davey’s 6 month birthday.  We had a great party – the three of us.  I will post some pictures.  We had presents, I made him a cereal/baby food parfait, it was great fun.  Yesterday we went to a cookout at a friend’s house.  Davey sat in the grass for the first time.  He got his first grass stain, and he ate his first popsicle.  I think that popsicle must have felt great on his gums.  He loved it.

While he was sitting on the grass, he kept pulling it up and trying to eat it.  So today he was sitting on the carpet – and we have that frise carpet – so he was trying to pull that up too.  No luck but it was pretty cute. He figured it was tan grass!

I did a fun layout today of him.

Nice Day with Davey

Davey had such a great two hour nap this morning after his first short one.  He felt really good for the rest of the day.  We’d been running around quite abit the prior two days, and I think he needed some catching up time.  I did a layout today of what he is like when wakes up in the morning or after a nap:

Naptime

Just put Davey to bed for a nap.  He had about a 25 minute one earlier, but he woke up and needed a nap break I guess.  So we played a little, had part of a bottle, but then he was getting fussy and red-eyed so it’s time for nap number two.  We have done that a few times lately.  He likes when you put a blanket on him. I don’t usually at night but during the day he likes to wrestle with it!

Here’s another picture of Davey sitting up.  He’s just doing great.  It’s like all of a sudden, he can sit up!  One day he can’t, and the next day he just sits there like a champ.

Love Like This

Did a layout for the "Scrappin’ The Music" Challenge.  It’s the first time I have participated, and it was fun.  I have wanted to scrap this picture for awhile.  I really like it a lot.

Picture of the Week

Yesterday we took Davey’s picture of the week:  I liked this one a lot:

Cutie

So far Davey is always so patient with us as we take his picture on the couch with the frog EVERY week.  This week he is wearing his precious little shirt from Karen and Kevin – made by nice ladies in Ghana.  He is just five months old, but he looks like such a little boy in this picture! I think this final picture though shows that he’d had enough.  He’d had a HUGE spit up – which David actually caught in a photo, but which I thought was probably too gross to share.  He didn’t fuss, but well the picture tells the story:
